Hi All!
I just wanted to let you know that I am still alive and well.
I have been having the absolute time of my life in Nepal over the past month and a half. Once again, I apologize for not keeping my blog up-to-date, but I assure you, I am currently busy in Kathmandu typing away furiously trying to get it to where it should be, or at least somewhere close.
I have just posted an article about my trip to Germany in February and am working on my arrival and first few days in Kathmandu.
(I apologize in advance for the poor formatting. I have been having issues with my blog host and have temporarily given up on correcting the issue after having spent more than an hour on my Germany article alone trying to correct the problem.)
I plan on staying in Kathmandu for as long as it takes to update my blog to a decent point before heading to Tansen, a small town close to the Indian border, and eventually into India.
Over the course of the past month and a half I have been trekking in the Annapurna Range of the Himalaya. I trekked the Annapurna Circuit and Sanctuary trails over the course of nearly a month and found what has to be, or is very close to being, heaven on earth-- Annapurna Base Camp. The Camp is completely surrounded by 6000, 7000, and 8000m peaks and, on a clear day, the views are absolutely breathtaking!
After the trails, I headed to Pokhara, a lakeside town close to the Annapurna ranges, for a week of rest and recovery.
I then headed to Bandipur, a quaint village in between Pokhara and Kathmandu, for a few days before continuing on to Kathmandu, where I have been the past five days.
I am doing very well-- in fact, I don't think I could be better-- and am looking forward to the second leg of my trip, India.
I hope all is well with you and that you are in good health.
Thank you for your patience with my blog. I hope you enjoy reading about Germany and, soon, my first days in Kathmandu. (Please feel free to give me feedback or comments via the site or e-mail-- I would love to hear it!)
Best Wishes,
C.J.
